Guess who's back?

The wonderful people behind Bijou Bazaar are being nice to us shopaholics and are having their 5th bazaar this weekend.

This time it'll be at Jeumpa D'ramo which is this bungalow along Jalan Maarof in Bangsar.

Opening hours start from 11am and extend throughout the whole day.

So girls, keep your calendars free!

For further details, head on over to www.bijoubazaar.blogspot.com!

On a sidenote; MAA is roughly about a day away.
And I have no clue what to wear...
Suggestions anyone? :)

Chelsea VS Malaysia

Yesterday I fulfilled one my goals in life.
That is, to watch Chelsea live.
Yes laaaa. :)

So, they were just playing Malaysia.
But who gives a shit.
It's still Chelsea!

Damn, I love Chelsea.

Where our stadium actually looks nice :)

Chelsea supporters man!

Stamford the Lion
who is apparently Chelsea's mascot
Since when did we have a mascot!?

Team Malaysia

Tell me again why you have a Malaysian Jersey?

Chelsea played a 4-3-3 starting line up.
With players like Terry, Lampard, Deco, Cech etc.
No mercy for Malaysia man.

As usual, my camera cannot make it la. :(
So, don't expect many pretty pictures.
Curse youuuuuuu camera!

Malaysia were looking pretty dangerous in the first few minutes.
Heck, they had a clear shot at the goal.
But it was off target.
Thank god. :)

And then Deco, wonderful Deco made the most perfect volley ever.
Alas, Malaysia's keeper denied him.
But it's so obvious he's gonna help Chelsea win the Premiership.

And finally, in the 25th minute..
NICHOLAS ANELKAAAAAAAAAA!
We had like a million opportunities to increase our lead.
But everytime we were denied by that Malaysian goalkeeper.

I shall now Google his name because he deserves some recognition.
Okay, his name is Helmi.

Well Helmi, good job.
So you let one in but hey, that's a huge achievement. :)

And so at the end of the 1st half;
Chelsea 1, Malaysia 0.

And in the 2nd half, in the 51st minute..
ASHLEY COLEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

From then on, Chelsea didn't attack much.
But Malaysia went all out.

I think I nearly died several times in the 2nd half.

Like when Cudicini made this stupid mistake of passing the ball to a Malaysian player in front of his goal.

Thank God for his sake, the Malaysian player shot straight into him.

And in the end;
Chelsea 2, Malaysia 0.

Nevertheless, Malaysia put up more of a fight than expected.
Heck, I was expecting double digits.
Which didn't happen!
And that proves they aren't that bad after all.

But ultimately, the winners in the end were Chelsea. :)

The Champions :)

Chelsea Chelsea~

Today was Chelsea's training session.
Managed to get passes, courtesy of Nuffnang. :)

Hitched a ride with Jeff, along with Adrian and Carmen.
And along the way we suddenly heard sirens.

You know, it's cool how people give way to an ambulance.
So, you wanna become an ambulance driver now la?
I wouldn't mind. :)
Eh, it's a police car la! Who they escorting wei?
Probably some big shot in the BMW.
Are you sure.. Maybe they're escorting the bus. HOLY SHIT! CHELSEA'S IN THAT BUS!
Omg! You're right!
This is so cool. We're like stalking Chelsea.
Wait, maybe it's Malaysia.
Oh yeah.. Pfft.
Though I don't think the Malaysian team needs a police escort..
You have a point.. It's Chelsea!

Just follow that bus!

And true enough it was Chelsea.
We managed to tailgate the police escort all the way until the stadium.
And then we had to part ways. *sniff sniff* :(

Welcome to Stadium Shah Alam :)

Malaysia XI VS Chelsea FC

Okay, so I only managed to get a few pitiful shots of Chelsea.
Because my poor old camera is only a 6.0 megapixel.
Cannot make it la. :(

Look closely. It's John Terry & Michael Ballack :)

This man is the reason I love Chelsea

I can't wait for tomorrow.
I am going to dream of Chelsea now.

Good night! :)

Jamming with Daughtry

So yesterday was Sony Ericsson's Traffic Jam Street Party.
Yesterday was also the HEP-IPTS Inter-College Tournament.

I woke up at the ungodly hour of 5am for HEP-IPTS.
And it lasted until 5pm.

Rushed over to 1Utama after that for the Street Party.

The rest were fortunate enough to have their dinner.
And a good dinner to boot! Lucky bastards.
Unlike poor me who hadn't had a proper meal the whole day.

So we started waiting for the gate to open under the rain.
But a little rain couldn't stop us from doing what we girls do best. :)

Once we got through the gates, it was already pretty crowded.
And there was this dude who was holding an umbrella.
He was blocking everybody's view!

So Dexter asked him to put his umbrella down.
And the man growled at him!

So, Eugene decided to go forth.
He looks more gangster-ish mar.
And it worked. :)

Malaysian Idol sensation, Daniel Lee
who really is damn gay

The DJ trio
which wasn't too shabby

So there were 4acts before finally..
DAUGHTRY!

The 4hour wait was definitely worth it.
Because Daughtry owned!
They were the bomb.

Even though I was half dead.
And my legs felt like they were going to give way.
I couldn't help but get caught up in their awesome music.

I am now officially a Daughtry fan. :)

Accidents Happen

So yea, I saw an accident today.

What's the big deal you say?
After all, we do live in KL, where people drive like crazy people.
And it's a common sight seeing a smashed up car along the road.

But the big deal about today's accident is..
The driver wasn't to blame.

Because..
No one was driving the car.

Are you interested in reading further now? :)

So I was on my way back home with Colin.
And as we were turning into my road... Holy shit!

How in the world did the car get up there?
Gee, what was the driver trying to do!

And so as a typical Malaysian, I wanted to find out what had happened.

So under the pretense of walking the dog, Colin and I headed off to the scene!

And so I talked to several of the people standing there.

And it turns out that..

The car was parked up on the hill several metres away.
The driver must've forgotten to pull the handbrake or something.
And so, the car rolled down the hill and smashed into the house.

I kid you not!
Damn unbelievable right?

The poor car really kena smash kao kao.

And you know what?
The owner of the car couldn't be found.
Which meant..

He didn't even know about his car.

I so wouldn't want to be the one breaking the news to him.

This time; Daughtry

So, for the past several days I've been..
Repeatedly told how what a lucky bitch I am.

My apologies but really..
I can do nothing about the freebies.

And so...

Sorry guys but..
Yeah, I got free tickets to see Daughtry this Saturday.

But I promise to take many pretty pictures.
Just for you guys! :)

The Love Guru

So, I just watched The Love Guru.

No, it isn't out in Malaysia yet.
If I'm not mistaken, it's coming out some time in August.

Mike Myers as His Holiness Guru Pitka

Jessica Alba as Jane Bullard

Justin Timberlake as Jacques Grande

Basically, Guru Pitka is an American who is a guru.
He seeks fame and fortune in the world of self help and spirituality.
And his unorthodox methods actually do work, amazingly.
People actually believe his crap.

And one day, who decides to come to him for help?
Why, the lovely Ms. Jane Bullard of course.

And the rest, you can find out yourself by watching the movie.

The trailer actually got me looking forward to the movie.
But alas, the movie itself only disappointed.

My rating? 4/10

6 + 2 = 8 tickets for Chelsea!

So, I've got two more Chelsea tickets.

How did I do it?
Well, I got them from KennySia.

Yeap, I got an email from the man himself.
And it read; "My dear Rachel, your devotion and love for Chelsea has moved me. And that is why, I am giving you two tickets to watch your beloved team in action."

Thank you so much KennySia.
You acknowledged my dream and made it happen.
Clearly though, you don't read my blog.
Because if you did, you'd know I already got tickets!
But nevertheless, thank you.

Well my dear readers...

I sure as hell hope you did not believe a single word above.

Truth is, I submitted a post about Chelsea for KennySia's competition.
And ta-dah, I got an email saying,
"You've Won Match Tickets To Watch Chelsea F.C. In Action!"

So this is the truth on how I won another 2 tickets to watch Chelsea.

You Got Mail!

Guess what came in my mail today?

Yes, those are tickets to watch Chelsea vs Malaysia!
Yay! I'm a happyhappyhappy person. :)

Much thanks to Jonny-boy who got them for me.
I owe you one.
Though I don't think you'll see this.
I know you don't read my blog.

"Chelsea will be travelling to Asia with a virtually full strength first team squad including new signings Deco and Jose Bosingwa was well as captain John Terry, vice captain Frank Lampard, Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, Petr Cech, Ricardo Carvalho, Andriy Shevchenko, Nicholas Anelka, Michael Essien and Sal0mon Kalou..." - the Official Site of Chelsea FC.

Yes la, I'm gonna see Chelsea in action~
And their first team to boot.
Damn, life is good.

MAA Roadshow

So, I went for the MAA roadshow today.
Yes, I went again.

And it's a good thing I did.
Because...
THEY WERE GIVING AWAY MOSH PIT PASSES!!!

And this time, it was no simple Q&A session.
If you wanted the passes, you'd have to go wild.
Like really crazy wild.
And if you went wild enough, you'd become a Mosh Pitter!

So, wild I went.
Jump here, jump there.
Scream, scream, scream.
Jump somemore.
Scream somemore.

And then...

What's this? Let's look inside shall we?

Too small to be read?

Better? :)

I'm a MAA Mosh Pitter!
And I've also got access to the Red Carpet baby!
Damn, life is good.

MTV Asia Awards Roadshow

As you all know (well you should!) the MAA is coming to town!

Wait, what's MAA?
Gee, you probably aren't into music are you?

Well, MAA is in short, the MTV Asia Awards.
And this year, it's on the 2nd of August.
And this year, it's in Genting!

Which made many of the music loving Malaysians very happy people.
Until we all found out that it was by invite only.
Dang.. Potong steam only la.

But then, the nice people from MTV decided to give a chance to the less fortunate (namely, us people who do not have enough connections to get invited).

And so, they organised the MTV Asia Awards Roadshow.
Where several lucky people would be able to win tickets.

Well, it was held at Cineleisure Damansara today

And when Q&A began, the crowd went wild!
Screaming, jumping, shouting.
Everyone was going, "ME! PICK ME!"

Heck, even I was doing it.

Alas, I tak kena pick. :(

And then there was a fashion show by edc by Esprit.
The clothes were nothing great.
But oh my god, the models.
The guys and girls were so so so so hawt.
With the exception of the two chinese ones.

And and and and.
As they were doing the catwalk.
One of them, blew a kiss at me.
And I swear, it made my day. :)

He who blew the kiss! <3

And then, Round2 of Q&A began.
And chaos resumed.

It was probably worse than Round1.
I think people were getting desperate.
I mean, tickets were running out!

And by pure luck, guess who got chosen?
Well, maybe it wasn't really luck.
After all, it is kinda hard to miss the lunatic jumping on the table.

And so, tickets for me!
Hell yeah!

My goodie bag with some of the stuff I won

But the most important things...

No points for guessing who's going to the MAA :)

The Dark Knight

So this year, the guys over at Warner Bros. were kind enough to bring to us, the second installment of the Batman movies.

Namely, The Dark Knight.

Majority of the cast from Batman Begins remained.
With Christian Bale returning as the Caped Crusader.
As well as other familiar faces such as, Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman to name a few.

But of course, Katie Holmes was replaced by Maggie Gyllenhaal.
And actor, Aaron Eckhart was a fresh face.

Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne

Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes

Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent

Heath Ledger as The Joker

The Dark Knight was simply awesome.
In fact, awesome might even be an understatement.

The Dark Knight is not your usual superhero show.
Sure, it has all the usual kickass fight moves, the classic car chase as well as the explosions.
But it is much more than that.

This Batman was dark, complex and intense.

I won't say anymore.
Not gonna give a complete review.
Don't wanna spoil it for you guys. :)

But here's one thing I will say.
Heath Ledger is the bomb.
Damn, the dude deserves a Oscar.

But here's my rating. 8/10

My School Concert Days

School concerts are awesomely fun.

Hence, by all means, you should take part.

Because you get to take a break from the boring academic stuff.
And...you get to ponteng class like nobody's business. :)

In 2003, the theme was Musical Extravaganza.

In which I participated in a really really embarrassing dance.
It was a dance from the 50's.
And we had to wear this horrible long sleeved top with black leather ruffles running down the middle... Ugh, I shall stop here.

In 2004, the theme was Dance Fiesta.

No luck this year either.
Participated in this Malay dance.
Which shall not be mentioned further either!

In 2005, the theme was Phantom of the Opera Variety Concert.

At this point, we were in Form3.
And we started being able to choose what we wanted to do.

We set up our own group.
And we did a Jive Latin piece to Mambo No. 5!
Which was the beginning of our awesomeness.

But then the limelight was stolen by the YMCA boys. Boo.

In 2006, the theme was Broadway Extraordinaire.

Where we'd do snippets from Broadway musicals.
Which was pretty cool until...
We found out that we'd be dancing while the choir sang.
And our choir wasn't exactly what you'd call good.

Nevertheless, we staked our claim on Grease.

And in the end, we pulled it off.
We were awesome. :)
And Grease Lightning owned the show.

In 2007, the theme was Around the World with Wesleyans.

Which brought groans and moans from the student body.
I mean, traditional dances??? Ughhh.

But since it was our last year, we couldn't not join.
And so, we became the South Indian dance group!

And I have to say, it was the best dance. :)

And in 2008, which is this year, they're doing Romeo & Juliet.
Ah, the greatest love story ever told.

I'm curious about how they're gonna pull it off.
So tomorrow, I shall attend this years concert.

Please let it not be a waste of my time.

Kill Beauty Save the Children?

So, Miss Universe has just come and gone and already another pageant is coming up.

This time round, it's local and it's Miss World Malaysia.
The theme for this year is..

Yes, we understand that this pageant goes by the motto, "Beauty with a Purpose".
But Kill Beauty Save the Children?
Am I the only one that thinks it sounds just a tad bit weird?

Well, let's just put that aside and focus on the theme.
This year, the pageant is focusing on children.

Ah, children.
What every one of us were years ago.
Cute little kiddies without a care for the world.
Innocent, naive and trusting.

And yet, there are those who betray that trust.
Those who take advantage.
Children go missing, they get sexually abused, raped and even murdered.

And so, this year the pageant is focusing on this threat.

It's a good idea.
If only they had chosen a better sounding theme.
Like, "Save the Children, Save the World."
Gosh, that is so Heroes.

But anyway, moving on to the contestants!
They've been narrowed down to the Top20.
And now, the elimination process is in your hands.
Yes, you got the power!
So, how do you exercise this power?
It's simple really.

All you have to do is go to
http://www.missworldmalaysia.com.my/
Move the magnifying glass over the List of Potential Victims and click!
Browse through the profiles.

If you:
(A) Think that sexy brunette has got what it takes.
(B) Can't understand why that old hag is even in the Top20.
(C) Sneer at the lack of drop dead gorgeous hotties.
(D) Can't really make up your mind.

If you answered (A), spare her life.
If you answered (B), by all means, click KILL!
And if you answered (C), you're entitled to go on a killing spree.
But if you answered (D)..

Kill everyone except Germaine (2nd pg, 2nd pic)!

But who's Germaine?

This is Germaine!

I met Germaine at the Nuffnang Wild 'Live' Party.
She was one of em Nuffies.
And she's haaaaawt.

She has my vote!
Well, not really vote in this case but yeah..
We wabbits gotta stick together. :)

Hello Miss Universe

So several hours ago, the Miss Universe Pageant kicked off at the Crown Convention Center in Vietnam.

There were 80 hopefuls but only one of them would be crowned Miss Universe 2008 at the end of the day.

And behold, the Top5 finalists for the night (in no specific order).

Miss Colombia

Miss Dominican Republic

Miss Mexico

Miss Russia

"This evening, during one of the year’s most exciting live international television events, a star-studded panel of judges chose Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza, as MISS UNIVERSE® 2008 live from the Crown Convention Center in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, Vietnam."

Miss Venezuela
damn, she's hot..

On a sidenote, Miss USA fell down again this year.
If you didn't know, the Miss USA of last year, fell down as well.

Falling down in public is bad enough.
Imagine falling down in front of a crowd.
And now, imagine falling down on live TV with several million people watching you.

Daaaaaamn. Malu sial.

Alas, our Miss Malaysia did not do her country proud this year.
But it wasn't unexpected.
With contestants like those above competing, Malaysia no chance la.

Journey to the Center of the Earth

So, I watched this last night.
Aaaaaand, I wasn't impressed.
It was only mediocre at best.

The movie was simply so predictable.
Heck, I could even guess what the character's were gonna say/do next.

My rating? 5/10

Today, I went to the Bijou Bazaar again.
Yes, I know I was there yesterday but since I didn't buy anything..
I had to go again with Shark.

And this time, the trip was fruitful.
I did not come back empty handed! :)

I got these cute cherry earings from Mimpi for only RM5

And this necklace for only RM8

Btw, Bijou Bazaar will still be open until 9pm tonight.
So, if you haven't gone yet, take a trip there.
You might find something you like.

P.S. The eyeshadow from the Mineral MakeUp store upstairs is to die for. And it's only RM4.50 each!

Bijou Bazaar @ Strudels Cafe

Picked up Shark and JonnyBoy and headed over to the Strudels Cafe in Lucky Garden for the Bijou Bazaar.

Wait.. What's the Bijou Bazaar you say?

It's only just the bazaar that happens only once a while and sells wonderful clothes and accessories cheapcheapcheap!

It was very crowded
but expected la

Price range for clothes: RM5 onwards!
btw, you can bargain. so do it!

Pretty lil' trinkets
which you will want to bring home with you

Bought these cupcakes for RM5
cute aren't they?

But apparently, cupcakes aren't enough for tea.
So on to Nirwana it was for these two greedy bums to get a bite.

So much for a bite
that's like my breakfast, lunch and dinner

We found out that Sarah was coming to Bangsar.
Waited for her patiently...well tried to at least.
Alas, we failed. I think I failed first. Hehe.
So, more shopping la. :)

Found this really cute bag at PurpleDotz
but they only had it in green :(

These are watches
aren't they cute? :)

By the way, Bijou Bazaar will still be on tomorrow.
So be sure to head down to Strudels Cafe in Lucky Garden anytime from 11am until 9pm.

TGIF

Thank God it's Friday.

Because after Friday, it's Saturday and Sunday!
Two awesome days where Rachel can sleep in and go out and play!
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! :)

Yes, I do love Fridays that much.

So anyway, headed over to the Gardens after class today.

Thai food at the Flying Chillies

Where Sharlene claims she's like a sunset
don't see it? well, neither did we

Our group photo
because we're all such camwhores :)

The Shark and Suat had the urgent need to relieve themselves.
So, I graciously offered my house toilets. :)

At the backseat in Suat's Latio
which btw is has an extremely cool locking system

The way back was jammed like crap.
Tough luck for them. Haha. :)

Back home, Shark made a new friend!

Yes, it's some really pimped up pen
with hair, a hat and shades. Lol

Since she liked it so much, I gave it to her!
Early birthday present la Shark. :)

College Blues

So, the first week is finally ending tomorrow.
Thank god.

But to think..
Another whole year of it.

Oh crap.

Countdown: 19 days to go

Good news for all Chelsea fans residing in Malaysia.

We won't have to wait till August the 16th to watch our beloved Blues in action because...

Chelsea's coming to town!

Come this 29th of July, Chelsea will be playing against our very own Malaysian squad at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Not forgetting, this will be one of the first games where Chelsea's new manager Luiz Felipe Scolari will show the world exactly why he's the right man for the job.

With Mourinho winning the Premier Leauge twice successively in his first two seasons of being manager at Chelsea as well as Grant bringing Chelsea into the finals of the Champions League last season, Scolari is expected to bring such success to the club as well.

"I think we have the conditions to win all competitions that we are in. And we will try the best for Chelsea, the best for our players, the best for our fans. I don't know how many championships we'll win - one, two, three or four, I don't know but we'll try."
- Luiz Felipe Scolari

Now, doesn't that just sound awesome? :)

But do you know what's even awesome-r?

Players from the first team will be coming.
.....
....
...
..
.
PLAYERS FROM THE FIRST TEAM WILL BE COMING!!!

And that means, you will see players like...

John Terry!

And Joe Cole!

Now, isn't that awesome-r? :)

So, make sure you go get your tickets.
They're priced at RM33, RM 53, RM 83 and RM103.
And great news for all students!
You're entitled to purchase the RM53 ticket for only RM23.
Trust me, RM23 to watch Chelsea play is like the bargain of a lifetime.

And...
Chelsea are so gonna own Malaysia!
I predict double digits. Teehee. :)
Right Big Phil?

He clearly agrees. :)

Malaysia is gonna drown in the Blue sea

My Potentially Awesome Day

So, college started today.
I know, everyone dreads the first day of college but...

My classes were from 12-4.
Which meant, I could sleep in!

And then, it got even better when my Stats lecturer cancelled class.
And that meant, I could go out for lunch with Jonny boy!

And then, it got even better when my Econs lecturer ended class early.
And that meant, I could go out and lepak with my friends!

And I did all that. :)

Woke up at 11.
Went for lunch with Jon at Devi's Corner in Telawi.
Went out to see my friends play basketball at the park.

And then my potentially awesome day went bad. Boo. :(

Saturday, July 5, 2008

Amazing Race

No, not the one you see on AXN but yeah, it's the same concept.
And it only lasts for several hours. :)

So yeah, today I joined the Eklektos once again.
My team was EKLEKTOS4!
Fyi, my favourite number is 4. Yes, I know I'm chinese but who cares.
Team members were the Gan siblings as well as Mr Khoo.
We started late, as usual. Typical Malaysians la. :)

Shaun was the driver for the day!
and omg, his driving.. not to mention his swearing

This here is the first clue we got

So off we went. Sped all the way there like orang gila je.
There we had to identify two Nobel Prize winners.
And they all look alike. Old men with receding hairlines. Yeaaaap.

Next stop: Kiara Valley Lake Gardens.
There we either had to catch 30 fish or do 300 push ups.
We did push ups it was. Easy peasy. :)
And omfg. Sheryl can't do push ups for nuts.
She was practically humping the floor.
But it was counted!
So, her humping technique was actually a great contribution.

Next stop: 1Utama!
Where we had to go to the batting cages and hit 5 balls each.
Wei-Jinn did it like a pro.
Shaun wasn't too shabby either.
And Sheryl did it, badminton style!
Myself? Uh.. No comment. :)
But then we were in 5th place! Huge improvement wei!

Next stop: Giant in Paramount Garden via cab.
We went and cut the taxi line and stole some feller's cab. Hehehe.
When we got there, it was Brunch Break time at O&S.

Sheryl Gan Pik Khoon

Shaun Gan Tiong Yee

Justin Khoo Wei-Jinn

And Shaun and Wei-Jinn had the urge to relieve their rectums.
Yes, they needed to take a dump. Boys. *rolls eyes*

Next stop: Taman Jaya.
Which meant that we had to run all the way to the Paramount Station.
And after that we had run to the park and find the "balloon man".
Who made us untangle balloons.

And then we had to run all the way to a field to pick locks.
I got it on my 5th attempt. *beams*
Damn, I'm good (Read: lucky). Lol.

Next stop: KTZ (which I am told, is famous for their mango loh)
And it was quiz time!
The answers were names of shops which we answered in a jiffy.
Print Station, Watsons, Mahogany, Royal Selangor bla bla bla. :)

See the "Village?" That was one of the answers

Next stop: 1Utama (again)
And by then, we were in the lead!
We had to buy a book shelf from Jusco.
Yeaaaaaaaap. A 10kg shelve poor lil' me had to carry.

Next stop: The Curve
There we had to either; camwhore or shop!
Lol. Just kidding. It was either take pictures of several locations with all our faces in it or go to Ikea and buy some stuff from two brands.
And now here comes the absolutelyhorriblypainful part.
We didn't read the instructions correctly...
We didn't see the word 'or' so we did both...
And with that, we gave up our number one position.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! :(

Outside the King's Confectionary in TESCO

Outside Bubba Gump in the Curve

Outside Mac City in Cineleisure

Outside Red Envelope in Ikano

With the Stockholm poster in Ikea

Outside Courts megastore

And lastly, Burger King

Next stop: Agape Chapel.
Luckily for us, Wei-Jinn had a friend who knew where it was.
And when we got there.. we had to assemble the book shelf
Wei-Jinn stepped up to the task and set the record for it!
10minute assemble of the book shelf, which put us in 4th place.

Bravo Mr. Carpenter :)

Next stop: Plaza Damas
We had to find a smiley on one of the 500 bottles, face a Bible challenge and find addresses of two shops.
Everything was simple, except the third task which had us running here, there and everywhere. Stupid 'Agilent Risk Specialities'. Why is your office so hard to find! Grrr..

Until finally, we reached the finish line.
It was the park beside the Hartamas primary school.
And we were 4th. Not bad la for first timers.
But still. Could've done better.
I guess experience does win over skill.
Hehe. Yes, we are skilled. Oh, the perasan-ness of it all.

On the bright side! Eklektos were 2nd, 3rd and 4th!
Yes la, my CG rocks (in Amazing Race). :)

Walking the Streets of Bukit Bintang

Today was supposed to be the last day of sleeping in before college begins this coming Monday. But nooooooooooo. I have to be woken up instead at 10 because some people have come to view the house. Pfft.

And so I decided to text my dear friend Carmen. And we made lunch plans. Along the planning, we got Shark and PikYeng to come along as well. :)

And so, we all met up at KL Sentral and took a monorail there. Must use public transport now, cannot drive since petrol's so damn expensive.

Elcerdo! Where everything (well, almost everything) you eat is pork

We opted for the buffet which is only 25bucks

The greedy pig

Pig Head Jelly
Yeah, for real

Her expression upon consuming it. Lol

Elcerdo's a really neat place and they just recently launched their sister outlet called Werner's on Changkat which is just so goddamn sexy at night. Going to Elcerdo for dinner and ending the night with dessert at Werner's would be my idea of a perfect night. :)

Headed over to Pavilion after lunch and ended up in Starbucks.
Normal la.

And then me and Carmen kena ditch by the other two. Grr.
So we decided to watch Hancock.

This show just didn't work for me. There wasn't much of a storyline, considering that I can sum up the whole movie in a couple of lines. Warning: Spoiler ahead.

Superhero isn't much of a superhero and people hate superhero.
Superhero saves some guy and aforementioned guy wants to repay superhero.
Superhero undergoes image transformation and now people love superhero.
Superhero's past is tragic past is revealed.
The truth is revealed! He is not alone.
Only to later find out that there is a nasty side effect.
Superhero sacrifices his own happiness for the greater good.
The End

No denying that Will Smith is a brilliant actor though. I was pretty looking forward to seeing him play the role of a superhero. Alas, was disappointed. Boo. :(

Omg, I hate my timetable

Worst of luck. I finally got to see my timetable which btw, is not out yet but thanks to WengSheng who managed to flick it, I got to see it. And I wish I hadn't. :(

My timetable for the first sem was awesome. Only two 8 o'clock classes which meant I could sleep in all I wanted 5 out of 7 days in the week. As well as classes till 4 only once a week. But that is no longer the case.

Now, I've got classes from 8 till 4 from Monday till Thursday. Gg die.

Edit: The timetables are out. But I don't know where. Hehe. :)

A-Levels Annual Ball 2008

Preparation for the ball started a longlonglong time ago. And finally, the big day came!

I had to wake up at 9 to head over to the Hilton for pre-ball preparations. Way too early for my liking but yeah.. Self sacrifice for the greater cause. :)

I didn't even get to have breakfast! Was hungry so I flicked a muffin. Only to realise later, I did it right under the CCTV. Dammmmn.

Anywayyyyy, several hours later, ball commenced!

With Mr. Lim Sheng Ming outside the ballroom

Lady in red, Pia!

The table setting that night
the rose petals were my idea :)

With Sharlene

With Nick

We were all smiles
except for Chiif!

With JenqYan

Mr. President and I

My netball kaki; Naina, Natasha and Selina

Just the girls

Admittedly, it was better than I expected. Not bad la. :)
