August the 31st

So, what happened today, 51 years ago?

If you don't know the answer to that and you're Malaysian, please go shoot yourself.

Headed down to Bamboo9 at TTDI Plaza to celebrate.
Gee, such patriotic people we are. :)

So, what happened today, 18 years ago?

If you don't know the answer to this..acceptable la.

Well, today is Sanjay's birthday. :)

I Like Ice Cream

You scream,
I scream.
We all scream
FOR ICE CREAM!

You're all familiar with the 31% off every 31st of the month at Baskin Robbins.

But did you know...

This month, Baskin Robbins is giving 31% off on not only the 31st but also the 29th and 30th!

So I went to buy ice cream today!

Duh, more ice cream for less money.
Who not gonna take advantage?

Problem is; everyone also wanna take advantage!

All stores would be jam packed with people.
Then you'd take a number and your number would be a gazillion numbers away from the number that was being called.
Then you'd wait and wait and wait until finally, it'd be your turn.

But today, the store was empty....

Yes la. Can slowly buy my ice cream. Heehee. :)

And that's probably the reason why I came home with too much ice cream.

On Monday, it rained.
On Tuesday, it rained.
On Wednesday, it's raining.
On Thursday, it sure as hell is gonna rain.

Hanis, babe, I am so sorry I couldn't make it to your Kiehl's event.
Blame the rain.

Happy Birthday to Me!

18 years ago, I was born.
But let's spare the obvious. :)

This isn't the party post though.
The filtering process of the pictures has yet to start.
And then the selection process will have to take place.

So, be patient!
It should be up by tomorrow..hopefully.

And here's a word of thanks, hugs and kisses to these people:

Mamma Mia! The Movie

Mamma mia, here I go again. My, my how can I resist you?

So yeah, we've heard the song, sang along to the song, danced to the song(?) and loved the song.

And now it's a movie!
But it's not just a movie.. It's a musical movie!

Which means there'll be singing and dancing.
And I just love singing and dancing.

Though you know what I'd probably love more than singing and dancing?

It'd be watching Pierce Brosnan singing and dancing.

Sorry Amani, it seems as though my level of intellect is not up to par with yours.

It's been what.. 4years since Pierce Brosnan was Mr. James Bond?
And I have been seriously deprived of him.

Yes, I know he made other films.
But none of them can possibly compare to any of the James Bond films.

Except maybe now.

Mamma Mia! hits our Malaysian cinemas on the 25th of September.

However, the nice people from Nuffnang are giving away 430tickets away for a premiere screening of the movie on the 22nd of September!

Click here to read more about it.

And so, this is me, trying to get a pair of tickets for myself. :)

Mamma Mia, now I really know. My, my, I could never let you go.

Gimme Gimme Gimme, What I Want

Somebody's turning 18 this Sunday!
*hint hint*

If you're still asking yourself, "Who?";
I really have nothing to say.

Well since this day comes but once a year, I'm gonna let the self-centered side of me bloom for a bit. :)

The next post will be titled; My Birthday Wishlist!

Sunday Afternoon

Last night my aircon decided to be a bitch and starting leaking.

Drip.....drip.....drip....drip....drip...drip...drip..drip..dripdripdripdrip.
Noisy sial. >:(

Grabbed the toilet rug and dumped it on the chair beneath the aircon.
And the noise lessened considerably. :)
Went back to sleep feeling very happy with myself.

But this morning when I woke up, the whole floor was wet.

Drat it. Should've taken a bucket or something.

Anyway, the sister went to Perth this morning.
She'd better come back with lots and lots and lots of stuff for me. :)

And ooh, I bought two gorgeous heels today.

And this is where I'd usually put up pictures of them.
But my sister took my camera along!
Grrrr..

So, try and use your imagination here.

One is a red patent peep toe with leopard prints running along the edge and the back of the heel in red and black.

While the other is a black patent sling also with leopard prints on the heel.

Okay, my description may not be very good but trust me, they're veryveryvery pretty. :)

Candidate No. 2727

And so, the conclusion of the last 7 months of my life came out today at 1pm.

So I didn't do too badly.

Econs was a pleasant surprise.
I guess the kickass tuition did pay off. :)

But my Maths units totally screwed me over.
Especially C1 and C2.

Grr. Retake only la.

And oh, one more thing.

Happy Birthday Izzy Belle!

Damn Snooze Button!

I woke up with all the intention of going for the NUS talk.
But my sleep deprived body had other plans.

Just a few more minutes won't hurt.

Unless your few minutes amount to 30!
Stupidstupidstupid me.

The talk started at 11.15.
I arrived at 11.40.
The talk ended at by 12.

So Rachel, what did you learn in those 20minutes?

Uh.. Well you see, I didn't actually go in.
Entering that late would have rude you see.

Which means, I didn't go for the NUS talk.
What a waste of time.
Stupidstupidstupid me.

And this came in the mail today;

It's 1pm tomorrow our time guys.

Are you reaaaady? :)

Bring on the Holidays!

So in Day1 of the Holidays, we see our blogger venturing into the unknown lands of Cheras along with her faithful sidekicks, Carmen and PikYeng.

Okay, I shall stop talking in third person from here on. :)

Headed to Queens Park for some shopping.
It was highly recommended by Sheryl.
Alas, we didn't find anything.

Moral of the story; Don't trust Sheryl.
Lol. Just joking dear.

So, we spent most of our time in the petshop.

And I realised something.
Puppies make me feel warm and fuzzy. :)

Urgent

I am in desperate need of help.

I'm trapped in my room!
And there is no way out.

Parents are having a durian party.
And I absolutely cannot stand the smell.

Hence, I'm stuck in my room.
The only place which has been spared from the foul odour.

Somebody saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave me.

Gee, dramatic much? :)

Triple 8

Last year, the hype was all about 07.07.07.
And the year before that, it was 06.06.06.
What's up with people and reoccuring numbers?

So I suppose next year we'll all be waiting for 09.09.09.
And the year after that it'll be 10.10.10.

But anyway, back to the present!

So this year, it was 08.08.08.

Heard from a friend that her gynaecologist uncle was fully booked.
Heck, some couples even wanted an 8.08 am/pm appointment!
Extreme much?

So, what did I do..
Well, I did what probably 3/4 of the world's population did.
I watched the Olympics, well duh. :)

Does the place look familiar?
Why, it's HELP!

Yes, I watched the Olympics countdown in college.
Damn happening right my college? Lol.

Headed over to the Rubik's party for a bit to watch the Cookie Monsters in action.

And then it was DotA time!
Finally managed to satisy my DotA cravings. :)

And then it was over to Hartamas to meet up with the rest of the gang.

So that's basically what I did for my 08.08.08.

What did YOU do? :)

Boys, meet Sufiya :)

And the final decision is

I am going to do Maths & Econs.
There, I've decided.

No more changing my mind.

And the universities I'm applying for are:

1. London School of Economics
2. University of Warwick
3. University College London
4. University of Bristol
5.

Yeah, I'm still one university short.
Drat it.

Gosh, that was hard.
Thank God the holidays are starting after tomorrow.
I need to de-stress. Urgently.

Have YOU done your CV?

A few days ago, something came up.

I was talking to Debs on the phone.

“Eh, have you done your CV yet?”
“What CV?”
“Omg, it’s due tomorrow!”
“WHAT CV!?”
“There, that one for your reference letter from HELP.”
“Oh..that CV. Wait, it’s due tomorrow?!”

I clearly do not pay attention to what’s going on in college.

And, I didn’t bother doing my CV.
Which meant; I missed the deadline.
But that’s normal la.

So today I finally decided to stop procrastinating and get my CV done.

And I am currently facing this massive roadblock.

I have no clue what university to apply for.

Why?

Well you see..
I uhm.. don't actually know what I want to do yet.

Well, at least I do know what I don’t want to do.
Though I don’t really consider that much of a consolation.

Somebody shoot me now.

MTV Asia Awards

If you guys are loyal readers of this blog, you'll know what I did last Saturday.

We were the "Red Hot Mosh Pitters" yo!
and no, I did not come up with that name

Yes, I was at the MTV Asia Awards.
And at the Mosh Pit to boot! :)

So first up; the Red Carpet.

Even though it wasn't even the real thing yet, everyone was so hyped up.

Everyone was pushing everyone.
The mission was; to get as close as possible to the red carpet!
And it was every man for himself.

So everyone was like pushpushpush.

And when the first celebrities came out, push came to shove.

I think I almost died in the crowd.
But this stubborn person refused to budge.
No way would I give up my prime location at the edge of the carpet. :)

Karen Mok
one half of the hosts for the awards

Jared Leto
the other half of the hosts

What Sharlene has to say about Jared Leto;
"Oh my God, his eyes burn me!"

The very hot and sexy Pussycat Dolls
Mreowwwww~

Danny O'Donoghue from The Script

The boys from Panic At The Disco

And the hottest guy I have ever met;
Kyle Patrick of The Click Five!

Practising my autograph for the future :)

After that, we all ran to the Arena of Stars.
Yes, we ran as fast as our tired legs could carry us.
After all, he who ran the fastest would be the closest.

Closest to the stage.
And closest to Kyle Patrick!

Yes, I'm in love with the guy.

We Mosh Pitters had the best view in the house!

They got the crowd really riled up by counting down

And guess who went up on stage as the numbers went by?

Say hello to the winners of America's Best Dance Crew

The JabbaWockeeZ!

As the opening act, the Pussycat Dolls took centre stage!

Performing their hit single "Buttons"

As well as their latest single, "When I Grow Up"

The pin-up girls on many guys' bedroom walls

When I grow up, I wanna be just like them :)

One Republic left no apologies with their perfomance of
"Apologize" and "Stop And Stare"

VJ Utt who is also hot
but not as hot as Kyle!

Danny O'Donoghue from The Script

Performing, "The Man Who Can't Be Moved"

Leona Lewis really has a helluva good voice

Performing "Better In Time"

AAH, SUJU!
Su-who? Why you K-Pop illiterate people..
It's Super Junior!

Fuiyoh, damn sexy wei

These boys got the looks and the moves

What LihFern had to say when she saw them;
"Bye bye Jay Chou!"

The Click Five performing "Jenny"

Kyle Patrick

I think I'm in love with him

Oh, Kyle you've got me on my knees :)

And for the grand finale, Panic At The Disco!

The finale was super extravagant with Panic At The Disco singing "Nine In The Afternoon" accompanied by gymnasts, dancers dressed up as Hibiscus flowers and a marching band!

Dude, it was practically a circus.
But it was one helluva circus.
MAA was awesome. Nuff said. :)

Nuffnang Gift Ideas Contest

Mummy always said,
“It’s always nice to receive but it’s even better to give.”

And Mummy is absolutely right. :)

Which brings us to the main objective of this post!

It's the Nuffnang Gift Ideas Contest!
A joint project between Nuffnang and Realmart. :)

So who is the lucky Nuffnanger that I’ve chosen?
Well, her name is Debra Fong!

Now let’s go back about 13 years shall we?

Oh lookie here! It’s a drawing little Debra did when she was 5!

Why Debra, what a beautiful drawing!
........what is it?

Oh, it’s you and a horse you say?
Wow. That’s a uhm..pretty horse.

It seems as though little Debra loves horses!

Now lets fast-forward back to the present.

Ah, it seems as though big Debra is still as horse mad as ever.

Alas, as we all know, them horses don’t come cheap at all!

Poor Debra..
It's gonna take her 55 long years before she can get that horse she wants.

And she’d probably be a 73 year old grandmother by then!

Gee.. A 73 year old grandmother riding a horse?
Not a pretty sight.

But what can be done?
Is all hope lost?

The answer is no.
Because I have found an alternative!

Introducing…

The OSIM iGalLop!

What? It doesn't even look like a horse you say?

Now, hold your horses.
And check this out.

Now, don't you think it's just perfect? :)

It'll be a perfect substitute for the real thing.
All you've got to do is close your eyes and imagine.

And there's an added bonus.

The iGalLop strengthens the abdominal muscles and thighs.
Which means a hotter and sexier you!

Now, you say you love me Deb.

How low can you go?

Well, this isn't the MAA post.
Disappointed?

Sorry guys but I haven't had time to go through the 700+ pictures.
I've been busybusybusy.

Like mentioned in a previous post, Bijou Bazaar was this weekend!
And this time, I decided to sell some of my stuff.

Take a look at our pretty pretty stall. :)

Ooh...

Aah...

In the beginning, we were all pretty semangat-ed.
Then as the hours went by, as our feet began to tire, as our backs began to ache, we preferred to tit down and wait till our assistance was required.

All in all, it was a pretty good day.
Well, I made some cash.
And making money is always a good thing. :)

Not forgetting the deliciously cute cupcakes that were there!

Butterfly... :)

And now, I'm exhausted.
Heck, selling clothes the whole day ain't easy!

In 5minutes, I'm gonna be curled up in bed and sleeping like a baby.

Btw, expect the MAA post to be up within the next 48hours. :)

One Big Happy Family

With the UK people back and all, a reunion was in order.

But since we're all procrastinators, the aforementioned reunion only occurred a month later.

By the way, all credit goes to DingWei.
I guess it's safe to say he misses the old Wesley gang the most.
Nah, I'm sure we all miss it.

So as usual, camwhoring began almost instantly. :)

Fuyoh, SLAM DUNK!

Yes, my friends are retards

Jeannie, "Ooh, it's steamboat!"

And somebody got a new camera!
No, it wasn't me. :(
Pik-5ml-of-alcohol-gets-me-high-Yeng did.
Grrr, I'm jealous.

My dear girl, we know you're happy and all but you didn't have to celebrate by drinking that much and ending up looking like a lobster. :)

And and and, MAA is in less than 24hours!
