House Bunny Movie Premiere

So, I just got back from the House Bunny Movie Premiere.
Yes, just.
And I'm already blogging about it.
I'm such a hardworking blogger. :)

Thanks much to Nuffnang and emmagem for the tickets as well as the House Bunny merchandise.

Gotta love 'em freebies!

If you need a good laugh, go watch your movie.
Well, provided you find dumb blondes humorous.
Yes, it is that kind of humour.

The dumb blonde of the show is none other than Anna Faris and heck, she does a real good job potraying a bimbotic blonde.

Not gonna bother doing a review about this one.
It's a classic chick flick filled with dumb blonde moments which will either have you laughing your ass off or leave you speechless.

The House Bunny gets a 5/10 from me.

Post-Haircut

"Omg, Rachel! You cut your hair!"

No shit Sherlock.
As if one foot of hair could just drop off.
Pfft.

And I never want to hear the words "young" and "fresh" again.
Especially if they're directed at me.

If you come up to me and tell me,
"Hey, you look younger/fresher with your hair that way."
I will not take it as a compliment.

Here's a picture to satisfy your curiosity if you have yet to see the hair.

Yeah, I had to edit the picture so half my face isn't visible.
Cannot make it la that day.
But hey, the main thing here is the hair.

Any suggestions on how to grow hair faster?
I'm open to anything. :)

Haircut

I finally gave in to the parents and cut my hair.

Chopped about a foot off.
Yes, I exaggerate not.
12 damn inches.
Now, that's a lot of hair.

Don't ask me why I did it.
I don't even know myself.

And now, I look "young and fresh".
I DON'T WANNA LOOK YOUNG AND FRESH! :(

Eagle Eye Premiere Screening

So last night was the premiere of Eagle Eye at GSC 1Utama.

So, how was the movie?

Well to me, it was just okay.
Though the boyfriend says he did enjoy it.
And Amani showed me a thumbs up after the show.
Maybe I'm just hard to please.

Spoiler ahead. Read at your own risk. :)

The first time Jerry Shaw and Rachel Holloman meet each other is in a black Porsche Cayenne. Both having received calls from a mysterious woman threatening their lives and well, son for the latter, the two are forced into a series of situations which mark them as terrorists.

As the plot unravels, we discover the existence of something bigger, something named Aria. Aria is basically the Secretary of Defense's pet AI project and also the mysterious woman calling the two.

We go on to learn Aria's true motive ie. the assassination of members of the White House including Mr. President himself.

But why? Turns out that prior to this, Aria had advised against an attack on enemy grounds but was ignored. Ultimately, the attack only brought about further disaster. And as they say, hell hath no fury as a woman scorned. Aria seeked revenge, though to her, it was simply doing the right thing.

And so, it's up to Jerry Shaw (not Rachel Holloman who is pretty useless) to save the White House which he obviously succeeds in doing so. Duh, happy ending.

So yes, that basically wraps Eagle Eye up.

Eagle Eye gets a 5/10 from me.

And oh, it's out on the 1st of October just in case you guys were wondering.

How was Bangkok?

"So Rachel, how was Bangkok?"
I can't remember how many times I've heard that question.
And oh, who can forget the classic, "Where's my present?" which follows after.

And my response to that question?

Bangkok was amazing. Bangkok was awesome. I love Bangkok. I want to go baaaaaaack. :(

Because I've been to Bangkok manymanymany times before, it's a place where I'm familiar with. I know where is what and what is where. You get my drift.

Yeah, I know. Going to new places is fun! But, going to familiar places is fun too. I insist. Heehee.

And going to Bangkok is superextramassive fun. :)

Because you can get pretty little baubles like this for cheapcheapcheap!

And Bangkok is shopping heaven, it's official. I say so.
You can buy almost anything, almost anywhere.

Shop till you drop.
In Bangkok, that's common practice. :)

And Bangkok has Chatuchak, the most amazing market in the whole entire world.

Why? Well because they have a whole section of puppies!

So cute!

Heck, cute might even be an understatement

Heck, even the rabbits in Bangkok wear clothes!

And in Bangkok, you will never starve.

Because food is cheap and good.
Yummy yummy Thai food!

Only RM1. You tell me cheap or not?

Omg, it's a mountain of Maggi Goreng... *drools*

When I grow up, I wanna drive a tuktuk!

Bangkok, I miss you already..

Guess Who's Back?

Okay, the answer might be painfully obvious but yeah, I'm back! :)

And if you were wondering, Bangkok was awesome.
A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
Yes, I can spell. Heehee.

But I shall do a post on Bangkok tomorrow or the day after or some other day.

I is still tired and I have got tons and tons of shopping to go through.

On a side note, Nuffnang has been kind enough to give me invitations to the premiere screening of Eagle Eye this Thursday. Thanks much.

Also, I got tickets for the premiere screening of House Bunny from emmagem. Not to mention a limited edition House Bunny cosmetic pouch. :)

Look out Bangkok, here I come!

So a few days ago, I got an sms from my mum which read, "We r going to Bangkok this Fri :)".

And I was all sceptical about it because we have planned to go to Bangkok manymanymany times in the past, the most reason during the August hols and it never ever happened!

Until on Wednesday, I had this conversation with my mum.

"Our flight on Friday is early morning."
"Our flight? Where're we going?"
"Bangkok...?"
"BANGKOK?!"

So, yeah. Tomorrow, I fly off to Bangkok.

You Got Mail!

I got an email from Nuffnang. :)

And it says, "Congratulations as you have secured yourself TWO (2) tickets to watch the Premiere Screening of Mamma Mia! The Movie next Monday night!"

Wheeeeeeeee! Pierce Brosnan, here I come!

Mamma mia, here I go again. My, my-wait a minute...

Next Monday? The 22nd of September?

Isn't that the day I come back from Bangkok...

"MUM! What time do we come back from Bangkok?"
"8 o' clock flight dear."
"Morning?"
"No, night flight."
"@#$%$^%&^%$!"

Pierce Brosnaaaaaaaaaaaaan... *wails*

Happy Birthday Pik Yen!

Right now, I shouldn't be stuck at home, in my room, blogging about this.

Right now, I should be at Bubba Gumps in the Curve with my friends celebrating yet another birthday.

My dear Pik Yen, I extend to you my deepest apologies to not being able to make it for your party. It grieves me so that my parents have disallowed me to attend in fear that there'll be riots.

Yeah, my parents won't let me out because of the riots (which are supposed to happen and probably won't, well not at the Curve at least).

Eyerrrrrrrr. I want to go. :(

Happy Birthday Pik!

Hello Birthday Boy

He always has a stupid smile on his face

He thinks doing lala poses is cool

He tries to act cute but fails most of the time

He likes making stupid faces, real stupid faces

And he has the worst table manners

But I love him all the same.

Happy Birthday Baby!

My Love-Hate Relationship with Maths

First, there was love.

When Maths first came into the picture, it was so goddamn easy. One, two, three, four, five. Counting was as easy as ABC.

Which grew and grew and grew.

Then it progressed to addition, subtraction, multiplication and divide or more commonly known as plus, minus, times and over.

To infinity and beyond!

Next came algebra with it's X and Y. Not forgetting geometry in all shapes and sizes. But it was still a piece of cake. :)

But then the love started to die.

The introduction of Additional Maths marked a new beginning. What had been learnt was never to be forgotten and what was to be learnt was going to be a total pain in the behind.

And die and die and die.

CoreMaths1&2, the supposedly easiest Maths papers totally screwed me over in the June exams.

Until it became hate.

Last week, I took my CoreMaths3 mocks. Outcome; bad. Today, I took my CoreMaths4 mocks. Predicted (almost 100% certain) outcome: equally as bad.

"Mrs. Heah, Rachel didn't perform very well..."

Oh crap.

Nose to Tail Eating

Elcerdo has and probably will always be one of my favourite places to dine.

The food there is mmmmmmffffmm.

Though we hardly ever go because it's a wee bit too far from home. And Dad positively hates driving to town for dinner.

But since today was the parent's anniversary, we got to indulge. And indulge, we most definitely did. :)

mmfffm.

Are you hungry yet?

Rockin' Camp Rock

Yes, I watched the premiere of Camp Rock last night on Disney.
Yes, I'm 18.
And yes, I did enjoy it.

What can I say?
I'm a sucker for Disney productions.

There's just something so heart warming about them.
I likey. Heehee. :)

And I've already downloaded the entire soundtrack.
Go download; This Is Me - Demi Lovato ft. Joe Jonas
It's been playing in my head the whole day.

I likey him too. :)

Happy Birthday Carmen!

Surprised Carmen by turning up at her doorstep last night.

But she didn't want to come down because, I quote her, "I'm watching Djokovic!"

Ungrateful sial! :(

But she came down in the end (well, duh).

Ps. Yeah, that's her birthday (moon)cake she's holding on to from yours truly and Colin. :)

Jun Fai's 18th

I swear, this month is the ultimate birthday month.

I'm sending out birthday texts every other day.

So, JunFai celebrated his birthday at his place last night.

Two interesting facts that I learned last night on the way to his place:
  1. There exists a Malaysian Book of Records record for the Biggest Chair Replica.
  2. There exists another Biggest Chair Replica which isn't so big.

So, we mixed the two up and ended up getting lost.
After much phone calls (yes much, I lost track how many phone calls were made) we finally found the place.

"He calls that *points at Biggest Chair Replica #2* the big chair?!" - Carmen

Apparently so. :)

Did the usual ie. ate, camwhored, ate, camwhored, camwhored...

Presenting;
When JunFai opens his present!

Yes, we were joking.
Who in the right mind would give someone 10 bricks?

It was a set of poker chips
which weighed like 10 bricks

Here's to many many more poker sessions in the future!

Lol. Just kidding (though I did ask if we could keep one in the pond).

These lobsters are tonight's dinner.
Lobster thermidor anyone? mmhmmm.

Poor lobsters.
Damn sakit hati to eat them.
But daddy says they were dying already.
Which I somehow don't really believe.

When College Starts

After 3weeks of bumming around, staying up and sleeping in, going out and staying out; college started again.
*cue moans, groans and sounds of discontent*

Checked the academic calendar.

I've got a miserable total of 3days off until the December hols.

What happened to the week long Hari Raya break?
You mean college doesn't have those?
The horror.

Time to BBQ

BBQ party at Daryl's a few nights ago.

I swear, the charcoal was being stubborn and just refused to burn.

After an hour, three boxes of starters and some alcohol, the charcoal finally gave in.

Yeah, we didn't give up.
We're stubborn too.

Sharlene, the Pianist Rocker

I made it a point to take a picture with her after reading this

The latest addition to my stuffed toy collection

It's a frog with uhm..huge orange cat-like eyes
and uhm.. patches of purple. :)

Don't they look alike?

My frog needs a name.
Suggestions, anyone?
And no, Froggy will not even be considered. :)
