Nano-chromatic

When Apple launched the latest iPod Nano, I was in love.
Yes, I have this thing for colourful things.

But I didn't get it.
Money not enough la. :(

Recently, I've been selling some of my stuff on Mudah.com.
If you didn't know, it's sort of the Malaysian of eBay.

And they were having a contest with the iPod Nanos as prizes.
I signed up right away.

I missed out on Week1 but when Week2 came..
Check out number5. :)

I won an iPod Nano!
Happy happy joy joy. Lol.

Now the only problem is; which colour?

UCAS; Not Quite Done Yet

So, I finally completed my Personal Statement.
Filled in all the necessary details in the UCAS application form.
Paid up the 17pounds and clicked sent.

And there I was thinking I'd finally gotten it over and done with.

Until I realised..
I'd typed in the wrong address.

Stupid, stupid, stupid Rachel!

Now, what am I supposed to do?

EDIT:-

I called the UCAS office in UK (yes, I was that frantic).
The mistake's been fixed and now I am finally done with my UCAS.

Shoes!

If there's one thing I can't stop myself from buying, it's shoes.
I love shoes as much as a fat boy loves cake.

We've got a shoe room at home and my shoes occupy half of it.
Yes, I have a lot of shoes.

But that didn't stop me from buying this lovely pair from ClothesBucket

Preeeeeeeeetty :)

I've been online shopping a lot lately.
Well more like online window shopping but yeah.

I. Need. To. Stop.

Sheryl's 18th

So Sheryl celebrated her 18th at her condo in Bukit Utama.
Which btw, has been the venue for her birthday ever since 3 years ago. :)

The whole gang turned up although very very late.
You know them Malaysians with terrible sense of punctuality.

Yes, I know I'm Malaysian too but I was not late; I was early!
Although it might've been a little too early considering even the birthday girl hadn't arrived yet.

Bang, you're dead Pik Yen

Where Pik Yen totally concealed me :)

And then we started camwhoring with the water guns

But of course, Amani beats us all flat

The candles melted super fast!

By the way, Sheryl's real birthday is this Wednesday. :)
So you'd better wish her! Or else..

Ding-what?!

Before I start this post, I can already foresee the circumstances it's gonna bring about.

Yes, you know what I mean.

So, I was having a nice chat with Mr. Justin Khoo Wei-Jinn

"Jinn! JinnJinnJinn!"
"I would like to type your chinese name but I don't think I've heard it before."
"Yeah, I keep it very hush hush."
"Okay, you can tell me your chinese name anytime now..."
"Neverrrrrrrrrrr!"
"Can I buy a vowel? Ms. Vena White.. I would like to buy an I!"

Until finally

"I'd say your last name is Li!"
"Bingo."
"I rock. Ling Li."
"................................................................."
"Wait, I take that back. Ling Li sounds awful."
"Precisely."
"Ming Li! Ding Li!"
"Ding Li?!"
"I hope it's not Ding Li. It sounds like a vulgar word. DINGLY! Oh my gosh, today Rachel showed her DINGLY in class!"
"Oh, so now it's a noun?"
"Ahaha. I wanna check."

And so, he goes to check and finds out...

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"
"What is it?"
"Dingly; crusties aka crust of the anus or the vaginal area."
"You're freaking kidding!"
"Damn Kelsey, you got some nasty dinglies!"
"What........."
"Check out this site!"

Which true enough, proved the existence of the word.

Don't believe? Go see it for yourself. *CLICK*

Mini Olympics

Even though basketball just isn't my thing.
And my volleyball skills are well, non-existant.

I went for the Mini Olympics held by the Youth Fellowship of the Bangsar Gospel Centre because of Sheryl Gan Pik Khoon!

Beside, it was just 5 minutes away from my place. :)

This time round, Eklektos were champions for Girls Basketball as well as Volleyball. :)

Though we pretty much got owned in Futsal.

And I don't know what happened in Guys Basketball because dinner was already waiting for me.

Whatever it is, Eklektos was as awesome as ever.

EDIT:-

Turns out we got second place for our Guys Basketball.

Which made Eklektos the overall champions!

Told ya we're awesome. :)

High School Musical 3!

So today, I finally got to watch High School Musical 3!

And no Amani, it didn't make my brain melt.
Though my heart might've...just joking!

But HSM3 was indeed the best so far, by far.

The songs were as usual, awesome.
Disney has a knack of coming up with feel good songs with extremely catchy tunes.

And this time, there was much much more dancing.
You gotta love dancing.

One thing I couldn't stand though, is that Vanessa Hudgens voice in the movie is so whiney and high pitched.

But apart from that, I loved the movie.

Go catch it in cinemas now!

Personal Statement Woes

Right now, I probably should be working hard on writing my dreaded Personal Statement which is due in less than 48 hours.

Keyword there is shoud. :)

HELP Sports Carnival

So I woke up at the ungodly hour of 6 this morning.
Ended up reaching college late but the bus was later so, it was all good. :)

Everybody followed the bus because the whereabouts of UM were unknown.
I must've jumped at least 3 red lights to keep up with the convoy.

No, that motorcyclist is not a HELP student :)

See the semangat-ness on Carmen and Afifah's faces!

By the way, check out our hands.
Yeap, we had to scribble our positions in permanent marker on them because we had no bibs.

I know, how exactly do you play netball without bibs?!

But moving on, it kinda worked.
Apart from the many offside fouls that were made. :)

We won all three of our games played.
Scoring all 9 points which should've automatically made us champions.
But for some reason, we had to play another match with the team with 6 points.

Which was terribly unfair.

We made a huge fuss but we tak kena layan.
Pfft. Evil people.

But in the end, we won.
So, all's well that ends well.

Jo & Zmei's 18th

So, Joseph decided to celebrate his 18th along with ZhiMei at Damansara Damai.

Where's that?
Well it's somewhere near Sierramas in other words, far far away.
And not to mention, crazily jammed.
Do not attempt to make your way there at 7pm on a Friday.

And darling Jo neglected to inform us that Damansara Damai was an area, not a condo.

But in the end, we were directed to Armanee condos which btw, is a really really really nice condo. If only it were in Mont Kiara...

Unit A-9 12

So preeeeetty

This is supposed to be fishing..uh yeah.

FLASHER ALERT!
Happens when your outfit isn't quite right for jumping shots. :)

Rachel VS Sheryl

Monkeys on the Monkey Bar

Birthday boy and birthday girl

Baby Loony Toons cake!

Where the door refused to open

Sausage fest in A-9 12

I've got a netball tournament tomorrow.
Which means waking up at the ungodly hour of 6 in the morning.
Wish me luck.

Rainy Days

So, today it rained again.
Right when netball training was about to begin.
Which has been happening for the past few weeks!

"It's raining."
"Wait for a while, kay?"

Half an hour later.

"It's still raining."
"Little while more. Weatherman said it's gonna stop."

Another half an hour later.

"It's STILL raining!"
"Uh.. So how?"
"Go home la."

It took me an hour to convince my captain to cancel practice.

And in that hour, Carmen and I entertained ourselves by throwing tissue balls at the car next to us which really was so fun.

It jus went splat! onto the window and stayed there. Haha.

Yes, we're chlidish that way. :)

Madagascar Escape 2 Africa

When Madagascar came out in 2005, it was an instant hit.
Everybody liked it!
After all, what's not to like about talking animals?

Especially animals that are ever so amusing like Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria.

Well this time, the foursome are back in the sequel of the movie.

The trailer came out a couple of months back and I've been tempted and teased with the little snippet they had to offer.

All I know is; that they don't make it back to Central Park Zoo and instead, wind up in Africa.

But what happens next!?

Well thanks to KY and Nuffnang, I just might be able to find out. :)

Yet another premiere screening to yet another awesome movie.

I waaaaaaaaant. :)

Edit: I got the passes! Thanks much KY.

Ache

With the Inter-Department Sports Carnival coming up.
Training's been taken to a whole new level with 3 hours daily.

Well, I guess winners can't be whiners. :)

Yes, the A-Levels department is gonna own in netball.
In my opinion at least though we shall just have to see for ourselves.

I is aching from head to toe.
Alright, that might be a tad bit exaggerated. Hehe.

Ache here, ache there.
I need Ache-Be-Gone!
Anyone care to invent it for me? :)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

When Sheryl first said to me,
"My church's having this play on Saturday, come ah!"
I rather wanted to say no.

I wasn't convinced that I was going to enjoy myself watching a production I'd never heard about before.

Footstool Players? Who's that...

Nevertheless, I gave in.
After all, it was only 6bucks for the ticket.
And I did stay a mere 5minutes away.

And you know what?
I was wrong.

I did enjoy myself.

More than once I found myself laughing out loud.
But no, I didn't cry. You see, I don't cry in public. Lol. :)

Friendster

Because before Facebook, there was Friendster.

If memory serves me, the Friendster craze hit my school in Form2.

And everyone would be saying,
"You write testi(monial) for me, I write for you!"

Yeap, little things like that made us happy when we were younger.

Decided to browse through some of my own testimonials today and lookie what I found. :)

Written by the 13 year old Sheryl Gan

She still loves me, even today. :)

She was obssessed with me, yeap. :)

Gosh, we were so funny when we were young(er).

For some reason, my earlier testimonials can't be accessed.
Now, that would've been a bigger laugh.

I'm Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XPress Music

WARNING: This post contains pictures (a picture to be exact) that might scare the shit of you and is not for the faint hearted.

The sound of something in the bushes
It's just a cat...right? Nice kitty.

The sound of approaching footsteps
Closer, closer, closer
Okay, who's behind me?

The sound of heavy breathing
Now this is getting freaky.

But the scariest of all, is the silence...
Before the true horror begins!

MUMMY!!!

What makes your skin crawl, what makes you close your eyes and feel the cold whip down your spine is the silence. Because that’s the sign that some scary shit is about to happen.

Which is precisely why, I’m Going Silent this Halloween with Nokia XpressMusic.

Imagine being surrounded by… things, completely unable to hear a sound. Imagine being in the quiet dark, alone with yourself, and quite possibly… something else.

Your blood chills, your heart stops, as you hear the slight imagined sounds that fill your head with visions of horror. Ignoring all common sense, your head slowly revolves as your tightly-shut eyes open wide.

And you scream. But nothing comes out.

Without a sign, without warning, you turn around and find yourself face-to-face with the nightmares you’ve had since you were six.

Only this time, the nightmares are real.

Doesn’t that just get your heart pumping? Your blood flowing?

Anyone would be crazy to want to miss that kind of thrill.

I love scaring myself silly and even though I know that horror movie’s going to give me sleepless nights, nothing can stop me from watching it.

Now thanks to Nuffnang and Nokia, I’ll be able to do just that!
Provided I get the invites, of course. :)

On the 1st of November, be prepared to party like a rockstar – well more like a celebrity superstar who’s been Halloween-fied (that’s what your costume should be) – at the Borneo Baruk Club, KL from 6.30pm to 10.00pm at Nuffnang-Nokia’s Silent Halloween do!

What’s a Silent Halloween gonna be like?
Well, all attendees will be hooked up to the music supplied to their handphones via their headphones and will be partying the night away. How cool is that?

I foresee that this is gonna be one smashing event.
Yes, I’m a soothsayer now. Heehee.

Brisingr

I admit, I'm a sucker for fantasy fiction.
My shelf is filled with nothing but fantasy.

Which is probably why I just had to get my hands on this.

Yeap, the latest book from the Inheritance Cycle, Brisingr.

Wye Peng brought it up yesterday as we were chatting and I had a sudden urge to read it.

So, I downloaded it and spent a sleepless night catching up with Eragon and Saphira. 301 pages worth of catching up.

You can download books online!?

Of course you can!
Didn't you know? :)

If you're interested, you can get the torrent file from www.mininova.org

Page 302, here I come!

Today is gonna be the day that.. my holidays end.

I shall prepare myself for the next three months of nerding it out for the Jan exams.

I promise I'll study hard, wait, super hard.

Now, maybe we should start on that personal statement which should've been completed last month.

Loong's 18th

So Loong decided to celebrate his birthday a week in advance.

Party started at 7 though we only reached around 8.
Blame the bad weather and Malaysian timing. :)

Food at Loong's was really yummy.
His mum's a good cook.
Maybe he's got it in his genes too. Hehe.

Loong getting some special treatment from Sheryl

The happy birthday boy, Loong!

Traditions must be kept :)

The Ow family (minus one)

Much thanks to Loong for having the party.
It was funfunfun. :)

And this bit onwards is meant for a certain someone.

Symphysodon or more commonly known as the Discus fish

Pterophyllum or more commonly known as the Angelfish

I hate to say it but I told you so. :)

Saturday Plans

So I've kinda been neglecting this blog.
With Colour Me Pretty just newly launched things are pretty busy.
Do check her out if you've got time. :)

Anyway, what are you doing this Saturday?
From around 10am onwards?

If you're free or just gonna be sleeping in, head down to Bangsar Village because there's gonna be a celebration of World Animal Day!

And there's gonna be a Dog Walk where you can walk your dog (well, duh) amongst other activities.

For more details just click here or here.

Well, I'll be there with my doggy.
And so should you! :)
