Hennessy Artistry

If you guys were under the impression that all I did last weekend was waste away at the ASD bazaar, you're dead wrong!

Because I was out partying with my girls; Debs, Pik and Belle at the biggest artistry event of the year!

And thanks to the fact that I'm a Bukit Kiara member, we had awesome parking (not along the highway far far away). Though we did have to keep our eyes peeled for horse poop on the ground.

Now, I've seen how the indoor arena normally looks so I was pretty impressed with what the people at Hennessy did to it.

Since we bloggers are such special people, we had this area all to ourselves ie. Zone S where S stands for special. (:


Of course, what Hennessy event is complete without free flow of alcohol?

My drink of the night? Hennessy + Apple Juice. With a straw. (:

Decided to tone down on the alchohol. Didn't wanna turn out looking like a lobster in my pictures. Hehe.


And so, I got to catch One Buck Short, Dominique Tsai, The Homies, DJ Camilo and Fatman Scoop live on stage.

One Buck Short were pretty good. It seems there is hope for the local music scene. (:

I wasn't really feeling it when Dominique Tsai took center stage with the Homies. Blame it on the fact that I'm Chinese illiterate.

But Fatman Scoop was amazing. He really brought the crowd to live with his performance. Got a couple of videos I have yet to upload.

Let's Bowl!

Managed to drag to guys and girls out bowling last night. They finally gave in (I've been bugging them to go for a month). Heehee.

It's been ages since I last bowled and I pretty much suck right now.

Scoring nearly 30 points less than my average is very very disappointing. Bah.

MTV World Stage Roadshow

Last year, Malaysia played host to the MTV Asia Awards. This year, Malaysia will play host to the MTV World Stage. How fortunate we are. (:

Of course, events like these are always exclusive. Tickets can't be bought, they have to be earned.

This year, I landed the job as the Youth Ambassador of HELP for the MTV World Stage Campus Street team. Lucky lucky me. (:

My job was simple; recruit teams to participate in the campus pre-party.

So here's what happened at HELP's campus pre-party.

Eating competition: Bananas & Coke with one hand only

Everybody do the limbo!

Apple bobbing; a very wet affair

Fashion show: Toilet rolls, garbage bags and aluminium foil creations

Eating competition: Durians with a fork and spoon

Including an amazing performance by The Mosh Pitters with Sheryl on the "drums", Carmen on the "guitar" and Sze on the mic. Video will be uploaded in due time. (:

Our Bangkok Invasion

Lack of updates for the past few days was because this blogger was on holiday. (:

And where else but my home away from home, the city of Bangkok.

I love going to Bangkok. Firstly (and mainly) because of the shopping and secondly (probably lastly too) because of the food.

Spent almost the whole trip at Platinum and all my money as well.

In fact, I overoveroverspent. Changed all my ringgit after exhausting the baht and then borrowed even more baht from the rest. *sigh*

Good Shopping + Good Food + Good Company = Good Trip. It's as simple as that.

It's been hardly over a month and yet another Hennessy Artistry party is happening in town.

And the line up for the final installment for the year 2009 is.. *drumroll*

H1N1

Finally got the parents to give in and take me to the hospital for the H1N1 test.

For all you strangers out there who know nothing about what's going on in my life apart from what you read here, one of my friends who just got back from UK tested positive over the weekend.

So, I saw her (before she tested positive mind you). We talked a little, hugged a little, so basically there was contact.

And then I developed the symptoms.

Sore throat, cough, fever, headaches and joint aches.

Ironically enough, the only missing symptom was the flu itself.

Ever the optimist, I decided it couldn't be swine flu and that I'd be as right as rain in a few days.

Pfft. Right as rain. Apparently not.
